Simple Lace Baby Bonnet

bonnet ruffle baby sunlight          bonnet ruffle side

Knit on DK weight yarn.  Size 6 and 3 needles.

Fits the average 4 month old. (Literally. My son is in the 50th percentile for head size. Legit average sized head. This fit him perfectly at 4 months.)

I’ve been able to make 4-5 baby bonnets out of two skiens of Snuggly DK. (I alternated which color was the main color and which was the accent)

    1. I’m not sure if I know exactly what you mean. But if you mean that the ends of each row are off from being identical by one stitch, yes it is that way, but it is unnoticeable in the final product. I thought about redoing the math and knitting it up where it was exactly even, and putting the scallop right through the center, and I thought it looked fine as it was (and I knit several tests to make sure.)

Feel free to adjust the line so it knits up
      k2, *yo, p1, p3tog, p1, yo, k2*

If it really bothers you that much.

I’ll also add this as an alternative method to the pattern.

      Thanks,
      Elyse
